Endocrine system

The network of glands which secrete hormones directly into the bloodstream, affecting the function of specific target organs. Endocrine glands include the thyroid and parathyroid, the pituitary, pancreas, adrenal glands, gonads (sex glands) and pineal gland. (See Hormones)
